Nikola Tesla, Sacred Geometry, and the Hidden Frequencies of Reality
In 1998, I began my professional journey managing MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) operations—a field deeply rooted in physics, electromagnetism, and resonance. At the time, my understanding of physics was purely practical: magnetic fields, gradients, hydrogen atoms, and signal sequences. But as I immersed myself in the science of imaging the human body, I couldn’t help but become curious about the unseen forces that shaped not just anatomy, but existence itself.
It was during this time that I first encountered the name Nikola Tesla. In a conversation with a colleague, we spoke about Tesla’s “free energy” experiments and his obsession with frequencies, vibrations, and geometry. Intrigued, I began to read more, only to discover that Tesla was not just an inventor of electrical devices, but a mystic of the modern age—one who perceived the universe as a vast web of energy patterns and harmonic resonance.
Tesla once famously said, “If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency, and vibration.” This idea echoed far beyond engineering. It resonated with ancient teachings, sacred geometry, and esoteric systems of thought that described the cosmos as a symphony of interconnected energies. To Tesla, these weren’t poetic metaphors, they were scientific truths waiting to be unlocked.
Though most widely known for his innovations in alternating current, radio transmission, and wireless energy, Tesla’s deeper legacy may lie in his metaphysical insights. He was fascinated with numbers, especially 3, 6, and 9—which he believed held the key to understanding the structure of the universe. He saw patterns and symmetry in nature, and he worked tirelessly to reveal the underlying geometry of life, from the spiral of a galaxy to the energy field of the human body.
Sadly, Tesla’s work was often dismissed, suppressed, or outright stolen. Thomas Edison, once Tesla’s employer, notoriously took credit for his inventions and actively worked to discredit Tesla’s alternating current system in favor of his own direct current model—despite its inferiority. What began as a difference in electrical theory became a bitter rivalry, with Edison using fear-based tactics, in an attempt to halt Tesla’s progress. Ultimately, Tesla’s AC system revolutionized power grids around the world, but he received little credit in his lifetime.
Adding to the mystery of Tesla’s life is the controversy surrounding his death. In 1943, Tesla died alone in a New York hotel room under circumstances many consider suspicious. Soon after, government agents confiscated his papers and research, some of which remain classified to this day. His final years were marked by poverty and obscurity, but to those who study energy, vibration, and consciousness, Tesla remains a towering figure—one whose vision may have been far ahead of his time.
Tesla’s legacy continues to ripple through the present. One of his lesser known but awe-inspiring projects was a tower designed to transmit wireless energy through the Earth’s ionosphere. Though the original Wardenclyffe Tower in New York was demolished, a similar tower structure stands today in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. Visitors can explore the Tesla statue and nearby site honoring his work—an enduring monument to his brilliance, perseverance, and the mysterious energies he tried to harness for the benefit of humanity.
Reflecting on my early career in MRI, I now see how Tesla’s ideas were subtly present in the very machines we used. The imaging process relies on manipulating frequencies and aligning the body's atomic particles to create pictures of the invisible. What was once purely technical now seems to me like an act of resonance—a modern ritual of revealing the unseen through energy and light. Curiously, when I am scanned, my body immediately relaxes, and my mind seems to forget all things—as if entering a momentary state of suspended awareness. Could this be due to the frequencies the magnet is emitting, or perhaps my ions are aligning in response? Yet the sensation I experience is much more consistent with psychological and neurological factors than with physical ion shifts. The act of being scanned, as a new and focused experience seems to trigger calming neurological chemicals, similar to body scan meditation. In this practice, attention is directed to certain areas of the body and engages the parasympathetic nervous system, “the rest and digest” response promoting deep stillness and subtle relaxation. What feels like a suspension of awareness may be in fact, a gentle state of altered consciousness, similar to a deep meditation or relaxation, where the usual stream of thought quiets and the body softens into calm.
Today, as we revisit Tesla’s writings and experiments, many of us are beginning to understand his work in a new light—not just as historical innovation, but as esoteric wisdom. His vision was not just to power cities, but to awaken humanity to the energetic nature of reality. For those of us drawn to sacred knowledge, Tesla is not just an inventor, he is a prophet of the electromagnetic age.
